Annotate 3D Point Cloud Files on Ango Hub

The 3D point cloud functionality of Ango Hub is in beta. Thank you for your understanding.

Ango Hub can be used to annotate 3D point-cloud, multi-sensor fusion assets. Here are the steps to do so:

Step 1: Create a new project and configure it

From Ango Hub, create the project you will use with 3D point cloud assets.

From the project's settings, enter the Category Schema section. Add the PCT classes you will use in the project as outlined in the PCT Tool page.

You can only use classes of the "PCT" type in the 3D point cloud tool.

Please set up the project's category schema before uploading any 3D PCT asset. Once you upload a 3D PCT asset, changes in the category schema will not be reflected in the 3D point cloud tool.

Configure your workflow and other project settings as you see fit.

Step 2: Import PCT data

From the project you have just created, navigate to the Assets tab. Click on Add Data, then on Cloud Upload.

Follow the steps outlined in the Importing Data in the 3D Multi-Sensor Fusion Labeling Tool page to create a conforming data folder and JSON to import.

Step 3: Annotate your data and obtain your export as normal

From this step forward, Ango Hub works normally. Click on "Start Labeling", or on any task/asset (if you have the required permissions to do so), to start annotating.

You will be redirected to the Point Cloud tool user interface. Annotate your data as outlined in the 3D Multi-Sensor Fusion Labeling Editor page. When you are done annotating your task, click on Submit on the top-right side of the point cloud tool, and you will be displayed the next asset in the queue.

To go back to Ango Hub, navigate back to imerit.ango.ai from your browser URL bar.

You may obtain your export as normal from the project's Export tab.
